82nd Sustainment Brigade commander Col. Chris Sharpsten and Massena, N.Y., speaks to soldiers with the 108th Quartermaster Company Oct. 7 at contingency operating location (COL) Lakehurst, N.J. Sharpsten thanked the Soldiers for their quick response to the disaster relief effort and led a discussion about how to be better prepared for similar operations in the future. The 82nd Sus. Bde recently deployed a team of approximately 80 personnel to support U.S. Army Northern Command's disaster response mission. 108th QM Co. is a petroleum support unit from the 530th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion based at Fort Lee, Va.
