    5th Mobile Public Affairs Detachment

Staff Sgt. Patrick Malone, a High Mobility Artillery Rocket System section chief with 1st Battalion, 94th Field Artillery Regiment, 17th Fires Brigade, and a volunteer emergency medical technician for the Bald Hills Fire Department in Yelm, Wash., tightens up his protective helmet before a training exercise to remove role-playing injured occupants from a wrecked vehicle. Malone has dedicated at least 24 hours of his time each month since August 2007 to the department, which currently has about 45 volunteers and only one full-time firefighter. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt.
