Six KC-135 Stratotankers from Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakenhurst, N.J., relocated to McConnell Air Force Base, Kan., Oct. 27, 2012, in preparation for Hurricane Sandy. Joint Base MDL has declared an emergency status of HURCON I meaning the base is expecting the arrival of 50 knot winds within 12 hours.
