U.S. Air Force Capt. Ryan Burns, C-17 Globemaster III instructor pilot, consults a checklist with 1st Lt. Afton Brown, C-17 pilot. Both are assigned to the 6th Airlift Squadron at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J. They were deploying an air mobility contingency response team of approximately 65 airmen from the JB MDL-based 621st Contingency Response Wing to MacDill Air Force Base, Fla. out of the path of Hurricane Sandy, Oct. 28, 2012.
