Afghan National Army dedicates cricket field

An Afghan National Army soldier bowls a ball to an Afghan linguist on a new cricket pad that was dedicated at Forward Operating Base Thunder, Oct. 15, 2012. The concrete pad allows the cricket ball to bounce towards the batter. It was built in three days by three Afghan linguist cricket team members on the Kandak Training Ground. The field of packed dirt supports ANA soldier training by day and soccer and cricket after matches work.
