Australian army Brig. Gen. Mark Brewer, Regional Command (South) deputy commanding general for force development, listens on as Dr. Mohammad Sadiq Wardak, chief of surgery at Kandahar Regional Military Hospital, talks about the hospital’s current state there on Camp Hero, Afghanistan, Oct. 13, 2012. Brewer visited KRMH to get a first-hand look at the hospital and to speak to medical professionals who work at the facility. The hospital cares for Afghan soldiers and police officers, as well as civilians.
