Stennis rescues drowning man near Strait of Malacca

Naval Aircrewman (Helicopter) 3rd Class Tyler Child sits in an MH-60S Knighthawk with his rescue swimmer gear. Child was the rescue swimmer who rescued an Malaysian fisherman in the Strait of Malacca. Stennis is returning to the U.S. 7th and 5th Fleets areas of responsibility for months ahead of schedule in order to maintain combatant requirements for the presence in the region.
