The dining facility was inspected as one of eight finalists for the Department of the Army Phillip A. Connelly Award. "This is the first time an evaluation has ever been done in Southwest Asia," said Williams. "Area Support Group Qatar has made history in food service." ASG-QA executes U.S. Central Command's Rest and Recuperation Pass Program, providing a brief respite for troops serving in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom.
