A foreign national food service specialist helps prepare the weekly "Surf n Turf" lunch of steak and seafood during an Phillip A. Connelly Award inspection at the Camp As Sayliyah dining facility in Qatar, on Dec. 6. This is the first time an Army dining facility in Southwest Asia became a Department of the Army finalist for excellence in food preparation and service. Area Support Group Qatar executes U.S. Central Command's Rest and Recuperation Pass Program, providing a brief respite for troops serving in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom.
