Lt. Col. Michael Baumeister, deputy commander for 82nd Sustainment Brigade, and Whitefish Bay, Wis., native, shared his experience as a young officer from 1992 to 1996 at a suicide media round table at the Stryker Golf Course, Sept. 20. Within one month, he lost two soldiers. As a battalion commander, he had another loss to suicide.
