An Air Force honor guard assigned to Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam faces to the right after completing a three-volley salute in honor of fallen veterans during a National Prisoner of War and Missing in Action Recognition Day ceremony at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific in Honolulu, Sept. 21, 2012. Veterans and active duty service members were among the approximately 500 attendees. During the ceremony, retired Army Col. William S. Reeder, Jr., spoke about his year spent as a POW in Vietnam after his plane was shot down during combat operations.
