U.S. Army Brig. Gen. James L. Hodge, commanding general of Army Material Command Forward Southwest Asia/U.S. Army Central, admires some new desert options at the Camp As Sayliyah dining facility, on Dec. 3. Hodge readily identified many improvements in the food service operations since his duty in Qatar with U.S. Central Command from December 2003 to January 2004. "You are the best in Third Army," said Hodge, on behalf of the Third Army/USARCENT commander, to Area Support Group Qatar staff members. "I hope to see you win overall." He presented the ASG-QA commander with the Third Army/USARCENT Phillip A. Connelly Award for the Army's best dining operation in Southwest Asia. The facility is one of eight finalists for the Department of the Army Connelly Award.
