Spc. Kirk E. West, a cannon crew member and Lancaster, Mo., native assigned to Alpha Battery, 1st Battalion, 10th Field Artillery Regiment, 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, reassembles the breech of the 155 mm Howitzer inside his M109A6 Paladin during the 1-10 FA's Top Gun competition, Sept. 11 at Camp Buehring, Kuwait. Sixteen crews competed for the honor of Top Gun which showcased their knowledge and ability to perform multiple tasks within their military occupation specialties.
