A soldier with the 492nd Harbor Master Detachment transmits a situation report during the Camp Patriot mass casualty drill at Kuwaiti Naval Base, Kuwait, Aug. 26. The exercise was a learning opportunity for the 492nd. "It made us realize that buy being in charge of the port operations for all branches, if anything should happen in our vicinity we will be in first responder mode treating casualties and also coordinate evacuation procedures until support arrives," said Sgt. 1st Class Joseph D. Sherling, the noncommissioned officer in charge of the 492nd.
