Out of the Darkness Walk

Hampton Roads community members join together to raise suicide awareness during the Out of Darkness Walk at Mount Trashmore Park in Virginia Beach, Va., Sept. 8, 2012. According to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, a life is lost to suicide every 18 minutes in the United States. The impact suicide has on the lives of surviving family members, friends, co-workers and neighbors can be devastating and long-lasting.
