Sgt. Jordan M. Richard, a military police officer from Mercer with the Maine Army National Guard, 488th Military Police Company located in Houlton, Maine, fires at pop-up targets during 9mm pistol qualification June 6, at the Ethan Allen Training Site in Jericho, Vt. The 488th is undergoing two weeks of pre-mobilization training in preparation for their deployment to Afghanistan later this summer.
