U.S. Army Chief of Staff Gen. Raymond T. Odierno and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell discuss mild traumatic brain injuries and concussions in an Aug. 30 panel between U.S. Army leaders and NFL officials. The panel included retired NFL players Troy Vincent and Bart Oates along with Dr. Richard Ellenbogen, co-chair of the NFL's head, neck and spine committee and chair of the neurological surgery department at the University of Washington. The West Point Military Academy Corps of Cadets and U.S. Army soldiers were in attendance.
