Deputy commanding general 1st Infantry Division, Regional Command-East, British Brig. Gen. Felix G. Gedney, hands a diploma to a young Afghan graduate during the graduation ceremony for The Cat in the Hat Language Arts program on Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan, Aug. 26, 2012. The language arts center is comprised of a group of volunteers and donors running the gamut of service members, contractors and civilians. Programs like these support counterinsurgency operations and the advancement of Afghan youth.
