A young Afghan girl awaits the beginning of the graduation ceremony for The Cat in the Hat Language Arts Center on Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan, Aug. 26, 2012. Graduates received diplomas after learning English taught by volunteers comprised of service members, civilians and interpreters. The program is an instrumental tool for the counterinsurgency movement, as well as for the education of the Afghan youth in Parwan province.
