Landing Craft Utility 1634 returns to the beach after dropping off cargo aboard amphibious dock landing ship USS Tortuga (LSD 46) during an embarkation of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit. Tortuga embarked the 31st MEU to begin conducting amphibious operations in the Western Pacific. Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group is comprised of amphibious assault ship Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6), amphibious dock landing ship USS Tortuga (LSD 46), amphibious transport dock USS Denver (LPD 9), the 31st MEU, Amphibious Squadron (PHIBRON) 11 and Naval Beach Unit 7.
