CH-53D Sea Stallions with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 362 fly over Helmand province, Afghanistan, Aug. 9, 2012. Known as the "Ugly Angels," the squadron will be deactivated later this year after more than 60 years of service. The CH-53D was first used in combat during the Vietnam War.
