U.S. and Colombian military personnel work alongside one another inside the joint tactical operations center during PANAMAX 2012 at Fort Sam Houston, Texas Aug. 10. PANAMAX is an annual U.S. Army South and U.S. Southern Command-sponsored multinational exercise series that focuses on ensuring the defense of the Panama Canal. Personnel from 17 nations, including the United States, are participating in simulated training scenarios from various U.S. locations.
