Spc. Flor Gonzalez from 702nd Brigade Support Battalion, 4th Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division signs a baseball for a fan during Tuesday night’s baseball game between the Tacoma Rainiers and New Orleans Zephyrs at Cheney Stadium in Tacoma, Wash. August 7.
An ‘Armed Forces Member of the Game’, Gonzalez was recognized for subject matter expertise in her job as an operator and maintainer of a five thousand gallon water tank Semi-Trailer.
The 4th SBCT, 2nd Inf. Div. ‘Raiders’ gathered at the ballpark for an evening of rest and relaxation following recent training at the National Training Center in California, to emerge refreshed and ready to resume preparations for future training and operations.
The ‘Raiders’ are scheduled to deploy to Afghanistan late autumn in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
