U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Larry Lewis, Staff Sgt. Chris Miller, and Tech. Sgt. David Rey, all Maryland Air National Guard weapons loaders, deployed to Al Asad Air Base, Iraq, load a Joint Directed Attack Munition to an A-10C. The A-10C's are assigned to the 104th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron, Al Asad Air Base, Iraq, which is made up primarily of the 175th Maryland Air National Guard. They are the first unit to use the C-model A-10 in a combat zone. Its upgrades have made Air Power much more efficient and have streamlined the close air support mission.
