New JBLM commander eager to give back to community that has served him for 10 years

Col. H. Charles Hodges Jr., the new commander of Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., claps in praise of Col. Thomas Brittain after comments by Lt. Gen. Michael Ferriter, commanding general of the Army's Installation Management Command out of San Antonio, Texas, during a ceremony, Aug. 7, in which Hodges assumed command of the installation from Col. Thomas Brittain. Brittain had led the base since July 2009.
