U.S. Marine Gen. James Amos (right), the 35th Commandant of the Marine Corps, presents Cpl. Matthew Gusty (left), a 26-year-old from North Versailles, Pa., his second Purple Heart Medal during Amos' visit to Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Aug. 3, 2012. Gusty, a rifleman and fire team leader with 3rd Platoon, India Company, 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, was injured in an improvised explosive device attack in the Khan Neshin district of Helmand province, Afghanistan, Feb. 19. Gusty's friend and fellow team leader Lance Cpl. Zachery Fisher stood by his side during the ceremony and received his Purple Heart for injuries sustained in the same attack. Fisher, 22, is from Roanoke, Va.
