Dominican army Lt. Col. (Dr.) Robert Risk, ophthalmologist at the Central Hospital of the Armed Forces in Santo Domingo conducts an eye surgery on a patient July 25, while Dominican medical residents and U.S. medical staff assist. Dominican physicians, including medical interns and medical residents, worked side by side with U.S. military doctors and ophthalmologists as part of a U.S. Army Medical Command and U.S. Army South-planned medical readiness and training exercise July 10-27.
