Sgt. William Berotte III, a black belt instructor of the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program, and Cpl. Ivan R. James, a first degree black belt of MCMAP, practice martial arts techniques taught by Vitor “Shaolin” Ribeiro, a four time Brazilian Jujitsu world champion, in Havelock, N.C., July 20. Many of the Marines are Marine Corps Martial Arts Program instructors and will take the moves they learned from Shaolin and incorporate them into their classes at Cherry Point.
