Four F-16 Vipers assigned to the 20th Fighter Wing, Shaw Air Force Base, S.C. flew over the South Carolina coast as part of the Salute From the Shore tribute on July 4, 2012. Supporters of the U.S. military gathered along the carolina coastline on Independence day and showed their support by by cheering and saluting when the jets flew above them. The aircraft represented the "Tigers of the 79th Fighter Squadron, the Shooters of the 55th FS, the Gamblers of the 77th FS and the Wing jet as they flew in various formations over Charleston, Myrtle Beach and Hilton Head.
