The Ticonderoga-class guided missile cruiser USS Vella Gulf (CG 72) departs the harbor following a scheduled port visit on the Greek island of Crete. Vella Gulf is homeported in Norfolk, Va., and currently on a scheduled deployment operating in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of responsibility.
