Lance Corporal Dakota S. Myrick, an artilleryman with Alpha Battery, 1st Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment, cleans the barrel of the L119 light gun during Exercise Brimstone here, June 24. Myrick, a 20-year-old native of Polk City, Iowa, worked on the gun with Marines and New Zealand gunners. Exercise Brimstone is a part of Exercise Galvanic Kiwi, a U.S. Marine Corps and New Zealand Army training exchange designed to enhance interoperability and foster military-to-military relations between the U.S. and New Zealand.
