Staff Sgt. Robert Conlon, an Explosive Ordnance Disposal technician and team leader with 1st EOD Company, 1st Marine Logistics Group (Forward), gathers improvised explosive devices that were removed from the Sangin district in Helmand province, Afghanistan, June 15. After removing more than 25 IEDs, Conlon’s team conducted a controlled detonation to eliminate the explosive threats.
