Alaska Army National Guardsmen Sgt. Geoffrey Hanson, 207th Combat Support Company, and Lt. Col. Joel Gilbert, 1-297th Reconnaissance and Surveillance Squadron, compete in the obstacle course during the 2012 Hero Games held in Anchorage, Alaska, June 23. The Fourth Annual Hero Games’ five overall events included the obstacle course, litter carry/scooter race, water balloon volleyball, bucket brigade/vehicle push, and tug-of-war. Participants included teams represented by Anchorage Police, Anchorage Fire Department, U.S. Air Force, Air Force Reserve, U.S. Army, Alaska Air National Guard and the Alaska Army National Guard.
