Thirteen Gold Star families, representing a soldier from the 27th Engineer Battalion, 20th Engineer Brigade, stand in front of a memorial dedicated by the battalion to the 13 troops who died in combat in Afghanistan under Operation Enduring Freedom in 2010 at Myitkyina Field, June 16. After the ceremony, families had the opportunity to examine equipment, fire weapons systems and look at displays.
