Units assigned to the control of USARAK participate in a four-mile Army Birthday Celebration Run to promote espirit de corps and morale. The run, which took a brief leg of the route off post alongside the Glen Highway was maintained at a brisk nine-minute per mile pace and required soldiers to sing out with military cadence as they ran it.
