DeLapp (right), U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District commander, presents the "LRD Star of Life Award" on behalf of the Great Lakes and Ohio River Division commander during a ceremony in Nashville, Tenn., June 11, 2012 to Park Ranger Matthew Leftwich, J. Percy Priest Lake. The award recognized Leftwich for rescuing a struggling swimmer. The Nashville District also named him the employee of the month for April 2012 for his heroic actions and outstanding work as a park ranger.
