On Friday, June 1, 2012, Staff Sgt. Shirley Erp and 2nd Lt. Michael Meadors of the Texas State Guard execute the Texas Emergency Tracking Network during the Texas Department of Emergency Management State Response Activation Exercise at the South Terminal of Austin Bergstrom International Airport. The network, which utilizes Radio Frequency Identification barcoded yellow wristbands ensure the locations of those evacuated can be monitored throughout the various transportation and sheltering stages.
