ANA engineers conduct route recon

Engineers of the Afghan National Army Route Clearance Company, 1st Brigade, 209th Corps, dismount with U.S. Army Sgt. Douglas Thomas, Engineer Development Team leader for the 420th Route Clearance Company, to meet with local villagers. While they still conduct training exercises with their American counterparts, 1st Brigade engineers are successfully conducting independent operations and neutralizing hazards that may harm the people of Afghanistan.
