U.S. Army soldiers assigned to various nation-wide Combat Support Hospital units, use their bodies to physically shield mass casualty personal from scenario based incoming mortar rounds on Forward Operating Base - Warthog, thus allowing Army Reserve medical personnel to practice real-world combat life support techniques during Exercise GLOBAL MEDIC 2012, Fort Hunter Liggett, Calif., June 19, 2012. Exercise GLOBAL MEDIC is an annual joint field training exercise for theater aeromedical evacuation systems and ground medical components designed to replicate all aspects of combat medical service support.
