Citizens of San Clemente follow the Marines of 2nd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, during a homecoming parade, in downtown San Clemente, June 14. The parade, held on Flag Day, celebrated the return of 2nd Bn., 4th Marine Regiment from Afghanistan and the Vietnam veterans who served with the battalion. "As for the men of the battalion, I tell them that I am very proud of how they performed in Afghanistan," said Lt. Col. Bill Vivian, the battalion commander of 2nd Bn., 4th Marines. "But now they can see that what I am telling them is true because they had a lot of people welcoming them home today."
