Soldiers from 4th Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, take a break from prepping their equipment and vehicles for training, June 5, at the National Training Center on Fort Irwin, Calif. The 4th Brigade recently traveled from Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., to NTC to spend the month of June preparing for its first Afghanistan deployment this fall. The brigade is spending a week readying its equipment before moving out for two straight weeks of back-to-back missions.
