Twentynine Palms Marines mentor, train future Afghan local police

Lance Cpl. Allan Wargo, from Canonsburg, Penn., team leader, Animal Company, 1st Battalion, 7th Marines, Regimental Combat Team 6, leads a set of pushups for Afghan Local Police-in-training, May 31, 2012. During the three-week course, the Marines, who are a part of Police Advisory Team 2, teach the Afghans skills necessary to provide security to the local population of Sangin. Training Afghan National Security Forces is Animal Co.’s main effort and an important responsibility as Marines withdraw from Afghanistan.
