Today, Allied Maritime Commander Vice Adm. Rinaldo Veri, Italian navy, hosted the change of command ceremony of Commander Submarines, Allied Naval Forces South at his Headquarters. Supreme Allied Commander Europe and Commander, U.S. European Command, Adm. James Stravidis, United States Navy, presided over the ceremony where Rear Adm. James G. Foggo, III United States Navy, handed over his Command to Rear Adm. Frederick J. Roegge, United States Navy.
During the same ceremony Roegge assumed responsibilities as Director of Operations, Intelligence, U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa and Deputy Commander, U.S. 6th Fleet.
