Coalition partners conduct capabilities demonstration

Coalition partners from Combined Joint Task Force Spartan maneuver a four-man stack as they move through a mock village at the King Abdullah II Special Operations Training Center during a capabilities demonstration for His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on May 16. Seven of the 19 nations participating in Exercise Eager Lion 12 took part in the demonstration, showing skills from four-man stacks to fast roping from a hovering helicopter. Eager Lion 12 is an irregular warfare-themed exercise that includes more than 11,000 participants, focused on missions coalition partners might perform in support of contingency operations. The intent is to strengthen military-to-military relationships and interoperability through a joint, whole-of-government, multinational approach to meet current and future complex national security challenges.
