Ronnie Yankey, retired firefighter and member of the Steak Team Mission, served an appetizer of a bite-sized sirloin wrapped in bacon to Marines from Weapons Company, 2nd Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment, Forward Operating Base Duluth. The STM is a nonprofit organization that traveled 7,000 miles to say thank you by grilling a delicious steak meal for the service members on the frontlines. “We wanted to bring them a little taste of home,” said Yankey.
