Sgt. Travis Shiflett, an air traffic controller with Marine Air Control Squadron 1 and Richmond, Ohio, native, watches an aircraft land aboard Forward Operating Base Edinburgh April 28. Shiflett, a member of the Marine Air Traffic Control Mobile Team aboard FOB Edi, monitors communication from ground combat elements in the base's area of operations in case any unit requires air support.
