Afghan National Army combat medic course

An Afghan National Army (ANA) soldier with 1st Brigade, 215th Corps, provides security after receiving notional enemy fire during a combat medic course on Camp Garmsir, Helmand province, Afghanistan, April 26, 2012. The combat medic course was an eight-week course instructed by ANA soldiers and supervised by U.S. Marines and Sailors with embedded training team, Regimental Combat Team 5, to train ANA soldiers in the basic skills needed to provide first aid effectively and efficiently on the battlefield.
