26th Marine Expeditionary Unit and 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, salute the 26th MEU color guard during a celebration of the 45th birthday of 26th MEU in the hanger bay of USS Wasp (LHD-1), April 24, 2012. 26th MEU was activated in 1967, and since then, has successfully completed various operations and exercises spanning across the globe. In a dynamic and ever changing world, the 26th MEU has always been a certain force in an uncertain world.
