    26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable)

The 26th MEU provided support to the Commemoration of the Battle of New Orleans. Starting this April and continuing through 2015, the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Coast Guard will commemorate the Bicentennial of the War of 1812 and the Star Spangled Banner. The War of 1812 celebration will commemorate the rich Naval history and showcase the capabilities of today's Navy-Marine Corps team.
