U.S. Air Force Senior Airman David Jones, Survival Evasion Resistance Escape specialist, from the 31st Rescue Squadron, demonstrates how to tie rescue harnesses for Philippine Air Force pararescueman from the 505th Rescue Squadron, Aug. 18, as part of Balikatan 2012. Balikatan is an annual Republic of the Philippines-U.S. exercise focusing on field training, humanitarian assistance and a command post exercise. Additionally, it increases our armed forces’ ability to respond quickly and work together efficiently to provide relief and assistance in the event of natural disasters and other crises.
